IR35 Accounting for Contractors, Done Properly
I work with limited company contractors across the UK to review IR35 status, assess working practices, and make sure every filing obligation is met on time.
You deal directly with me, David, from the first call onwards. Fixed price. Same-day responses. No handoffs to anyone else.
“Spoke with David on the phone and knew instantly he was the one I wanted to go with. Spoke me through everything and any questions I had I just messaged him and he replied right away. Would highly recommend.”
Is your IR35 position as solid as you think?
Answer five quick questions and get a clear picture of where your risk actually sits.
What I handle on your behalf
From contract reviews and corporation tax to self assessment and payroll, I cover everything a limited company contractor needs under one fixed monthly fee.
IR35 Status and Contract Review
Before you sign anything, I review your contractual terms and working practices against the key IR35 tests: substitution, supervision, direction and control, and mutuality of obligation. If the contract wording creates risk, I tell you plainly and explain what needs to change. You get a clear picture before you commit to the engagement.
Included in contractor plansLimited Company Accounts and Corporation Tax
I prepare your year-end accounts and corporation tax return, making sure every allowable expense is captured and your bill is no higher than it needs to be. If your status determination moves you inside IR35 part-way through the year, I account for that correctly so there are no nasty surprises at filing. Everything is filed on time, every time.
Filed on time, every yearSelf Assessment and Payroll
Most contractors take a salary and dividends from their limited company, which means a self assessment return is required alongside your company filing. I handle both, including any adjustments needed if you have had an inside-IR35 engagement during the year. Your payroll submissions go to HMRC on time each month via RTI.
Coordinated and accurateWhy clients come back every year
Three things that make a real difference when IR35 is in the picture.
You always speak to David directly
IR35 questions are not simple. When you call or message, you need someone who knows your situation, not a junior who has to pass your query along. I handle every client personally, with no handoffs, no call centres, and no waiting days for a reply. Same-day responses are standard, not a premium add-on.
25 years of real business experience behind the advice
I spent over 25 years running and working in real businesses before I qualified as an accountant. That means when I review a contract, I am thinking about how the working relationship actually functions day-to-day, not just what the paperwork says. HMRC looks at the reality of the engagement, and so do I.
Fixed prices, so you know exactly where you stand
Contractors are used to unpredictable tax bills. My fees are not one of those unpredictable things. You get a fixed monthly price that covers everything we have agreed, quoted in writing before we start. If something changes, I tell you first. There are no surprise invoices.
How it works
Four straightforward steps from first contact to fully sorted.
Book a free call
Use the booking link to pick a time that suits you. There is no charge for the call and no obligation to proceed. It usually takes around 20 minutes and covers your current contract situation, your company setup, and what you need help with.
I review your position
Once I understand your situation, I look at your contracts, your working practices, and your current filings. I will tell you clearly where any IR35 risk sits, what your obligations are, and what I recommend. You get plain-English answers, not hedged legal language.
We agree a fixed price
I quote you a fixed monthly fee based on what you need. That covers everything we have discussed, with nothing left in small print. You know exactly what you are paying before anything starts.
I take it from there
I handle your accounts, tax returns, payroll and any IR35 correspondence with HMRC. Every deadline is tracked. You hear from me when there is something you need to know. Otherwise, I get on with it and you get on with contracting.
