Answer five quick questions and find out exactly where you stand with your filing deadline.

WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

Whether you run a limited company, work as a sole trader, or manage a portfolio of properties, I take care of the whole year-end process for you.

01

Year-End Accounts Preparation

I prepare your statutory year-end accounts from your records, whether that is a tidy spreadsheet or a box of receipts. All figures are reconciled, reviewed, and presented in the format required by Companies House or HMRC. You do not need to have perfect bookkeeping in place before coming to me.

Sole traders, limited companies and landlords
02

Corporation Tax Return Filing

For limited companies, your year-end accounts come with a corporation tax computation and the CT600 tax return filed directly with HMRC. I calculate your tax liability, identify all allowable deductions, and confirm what you owe and when. You get one fixed price covering both the accounts and the tax return.

Included for all limited company clients
03

Companies House Filing

Since April 2026, all accounts must be filed with Companies House using approved commercial software. I handle that submission on your behalf as your registered HMRC agent. You receive written confirmation once your accounts are accepted and on record.

Filed via approved software post-April 2026
WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

Here is what makes working with STZ Accounting different from going to a larger firm or trying to do it yourself.

You deal with me directly, every time

There are no juniors, no handoffs, and no account managers at STZ Accounting. When you send a message or pick up the phone, you reach me. I know your business, I know your accounts, and I give you a straight answer the same day.

A fixed price agreed before I start

You will know the full cost of your year-end accounts before I do a single hour of work. There are no time-based billing surprises waiting at the end. The price we agree is the price on the invoice.

Over 25 years of real business experience

I ran businesses for more than 25 years before I qualified as an accountant. That means I understand what your numbers actually mean for your business, not just what they mean for a tax return. That context changes the quality of advice you get.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting your year-end accounts sorted takes four straightforward steps and I guide you through each one.

01

Book a free call

We spend 20 to 30 minutes on a call where I ask about your business, your records, and your filing deadline. You get a fixed price at the end of that call, with no obligation to proceed.

02

Send me your records

You share your records securely, whether that is a bookkeeping file, a bank statement export, or a folder of receipts. I tell you exactly what I need so there is no guessing on your part.

03

I prepare your accounts

I reconcile your figures, prepare the statutory accounts, and calculate any tax due. If anything looks unusual or needs your input, I contact you directly and explain it in plain English.

04

Filed and confirmed

I submit your accounts to Companies House and your tax return to HMRC on your behalf. You receive written confirmation once everything is accepted, and I let you know your payment deadlines.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

For limited companies, accounts must reach Companies House within nine months of your company’s year-end date. Your corporation tax return is due 12 months after your accounting period ends, and any tax owed is usually payable nine months and one day after your year-end. If you are not certain of your year-end date, bring it up on our free call and I will confirm it for you.
Companies House charges automatic penalties starting at 150 pounds for accounts up to one month late, rising to 1,500 pounds for accounts more than six months late. Those penalties double if you file late two years in a row. Getting in touch now, even if your deadline is close, is always worth it.
Yes. Most clients do not arrive with perfectly organised books, and that is fine. I have worked with everything from detailed accounting software files to shoeboxes of receipts. On our free call I will tell you exactly what I need and we go from there.
Sole traders do not file accounts with Companies House, but you still need a set of accounts to complete your self-assessment tax return accurately. Those accounts confirm your profit, your allowable expenses, and your tax liability. I prepare these as part of my sole trader service and handle the self-assessment submission too.
