WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

Running a limited company in Scotland comes with a specific set of filings and deadlines, and I take care of all of them.

01

Year-End Accounts and Corporation Tax

I prepare your statutory limited company accounts and file your corporation tax return with HMRC each year. I also plan ahead to make sure your tax bill is as low as the law allows. Your confirmation statement with Companies House is included, so nothing gets missed.

02

Directors’ Self Assessment and Payroll

As a limited company director you have a personal tax return obligation on top of your company filings. I handle both your self assessment and your monthly payroll, including RTI submissions and pension contributions. You always know what to pay yourself and when.

03

Bookkeeping, VAT Returns and Management Accounts

I keep your books up to date every month, file your quarterly VAT returns and produce monthly management reports so you can see exactly how your company is performing. If you are approaching the VAT registration threshold I will flag it well in advance.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

Most of my limited company clients came to me after feeling ignored or confused by their previous accountant.

You always talk to me, not a junior

Every email, every phone call, every question goes directly to me. There is no account manager passing your query along the chain. If you have a question about a directors’ loan or a dividend payment, you get a plain-English answer the same day.

A fixed price with nothing hidden

Limited company packages start at £215 per month for turnover up to £100k. That price covers bookkeeping, year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT, payroll, confirmation statement and directors’ self assessment. You know the cost before we start and it does not change mid-year.

25 years of running businesses, then qualifying as an accountant

I spent over 25 years in the real business world before I qualified as an accountant. That means I understand the pressure of running a company from both sides. I am not just processing numbers. I am giving you the same advice I would want if it were my own business.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting started is straightforward and takes less than 15 minutes of your time.

01

Book a free call

Pick a time that suits you and we have a short call to talk through your company, your current situation and what you need. No obligation, no sales pressure. I just want to understand your setup before giving you a price.

02

Receive a fixed price quote

Within 24 hours I send you a clear quote with everything included. You can see exactly what is covered before you commit to anything. If you have questions about the quote I am one message away.

03

I take over as your accountant

Once you are happy, I notify HMRC that I am your agent and take over your filings. If you are switching from another accountant I handle the handover for you. You do not need to chase anyone or fill in complicated forms.

04

Ongoing support throughout the year

From that point on, you have a direct line to me for any question about your company. I keep your books current, hit every deadline and give you a monthly snapshot of how your business is doing. Same-day responses are standard, not a premium.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

A limited company has legal filing obligations to both HMRC and Companies House that do not apply to sole traders. You need to file statutory accounts, a corporation tax return, a confirmation statement and directors’ self assessments each year. Mistakes or missed deadlines carry penalties, and getting the dividend and salary split wrong can cost you more tax than necessary.
At STZ Accounting, limited company packages start at £215 per month for companies with turnover up to £100k. That price covers bookkeeping, year-end accounts, corporation tax, VAT returns, payroll, confirmation statement and two directors’ self assessments. The price is fixed and agreed upfront so there are no surprise invoices.
Yes. I handle the switch for you by notifying HMRC of the change of agent and requesting the relevant files from your previous accountant. Most clients find the process takes less effort than they expected. If your records are in a messy state that is fine too, I have seen it before and it does not put me off.
Yes. Once I am registered as your HMRC agent I can communicate with HMRC on your behalf for all matters relating to your company and personal tax. If HMRC contacts you directly about anything I covered, forward it to me and I will handle the response. You do not need to deal with HMRC alone.
