WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From recording your income to filing your tax return, I take care of the financial admin so you can focus on running your business.

01

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping

I record your income and expenses as they happen, keeping your books clean and current throughout the year. Every transaction is categorised correctly so your numbers are always ready when you need them. You never have to worry about a backlog building up.

02

Bank Reconciliation

I match your bank transactions to your records on a regular basis, catching any discrepancies before they become problems. This keeps your accounts accurate and gives you a clear view of your cash position at any time. If something looks off, I flag it to you straight away.

Monthly reconciliation included
03

Self Assessment Tax Return

I prepare and file your self assessment return from start to finish, claiming every allowable expense and deduction you are entitled to. You do not need to know the tax rules. I handle it and explain what you owe, and why, in plain English.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

Sole traders choose STZ Accounting because the service is personal, the prices are fixed, and I am always the person they speak to.

You always deal with me directly

There are no junior staff, no handoffs, and no call centres at STZ Accounting. When you have a question, I answer it. That means you get consistent advice from someone who already knows your situation every time you get in touch.

Fixed prices with no surprises

You know what you pay before we start. The sole trader package is £150 plus VAT per month and covers bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, annual accounts, and self assessment. No hidden fees and no unexpected invoices.

Same-day responses, every time

If you send me a message, you will hear back from me the same day. Tax questions, receipt queries, deadline worries. Whatever comes up, you are not left waiting days for an answer.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting your bookkeeping sorted takes four straightforward steps, and most clients are up and running within a week.

01

Book a free call

We have a short, no-obligation conversation about your business, your current records, and what you need. There is no pressure and no commitment required at this stage.

02

I send you a fixed price quote

Based on our conversation, I give you a clear written quote. You know exactly what is included and what it costs before you agree to anything.

03

We get your records in order

I take over your bookkeeping from wherever you are right now. If your records are a few months behind, that is fine. We start from where you are, without judgment.

04

Your books run smoothly every month

From that point forward, I handle the ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliation, and filing. You get same-day responses whenever you need me and a reliable accountant in your corner throughout the year.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

Yes. HMRC requires you to keep records of your business income and expenses. Under the cash basis, which is the default accounting method from the 2024-25 tax year, you record money when it comes in and goes out. You must keep those records for at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline.
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax requires sole traders with income over £50,000 to use compatible software and submit quarterly updates to HMRC from April 2026. If your income is over £30,000, this applies from April 2027. I can advise on the right software for your situation and handle the submissions so you never miss a deadline.
It is not too late. Most sole traders I work with come to me with some backlog to clear. We start from where you are now, catch up the records, and put a simple system in place going forward. There is no judgment, just a clear plan.
The sole trader package is £150 plus VAT per month and covers invoicing, bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, annual accounts, and your personal self assessment tax return. There is one fixed price, no hidden extras, and you deal with me directly throughout.
