WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From day-to-day bookkeeping through to year-end accounts and tax filings, I take care of the financial side so you can focus on running your business.

01

Bookkeeping and Year-End Accounts

I keep your records accurate and up to date throughout the year, reconciling your bank and categorising transactions so nothing slips through. At year end, I prepare your accounts and file them correctly with HMRC and Companies House. You always have a clear picture of where your money is going.

Sole traders and limited companies
02

Self Assessment and Corporation Tax

I prepare and file your tax returns from start to finish, claiming every allowance you are entitled to and making sure you pay only what you legally owe. Deadlines are tracked and filed on time, every time. You will know your tax bill well in advance, not the night before it is due.

No deadline stress
03

VAT Returns and Payroll

I handle your quarterly VAT submissions under whichever scheme suits your business, including Making Tax Digital compliance. If you have staff, I run payroll each month, produce payslips, handle RTI submissions to HMRC and manage pension contributions. Both services are included in fixed monthly packages.

WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

The difference is simple: you get one person, a fixed price, and a straight answer every time you get in touch.

You always deal with David directly

There are no juniors here. Every question goes to me and gets answered by me. I have over 25 years of real-world business experience before I qualified as an accountant, so I understand what running a business actually feels like. That context shapes every piece of advice I give.

A fixed price agreed before any work starts

You get a written quote before I do anything. The price does not change once work is underway. There are no hourly rates building up in the background and no invoice that catches you off guard at the end of the month. Sole trader packages start from £150 plus VAT per month.

Same-day responses, without exception

When you have a question or something urgent comes up, you hear back from me the same day. That is not a sales promise – it is how I have operated since starting STZ Accounting and it is reflected in 48 verified five-star reviews on Bark. Clients stay because they trust that I will be there when it matters.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting started takes one phone call and a few straightforward steps.

01

Book a free call

You pick a time that suits you and we spend 20 to 30 minutes talking through your business, your current situation and what you need. No obligation and no sales pressure. I just want to understand where you are starting from.

02

Receive a fixed price quote

After the call I send you a written quote covering everything we discussed. The price is fixed and itemised so you know exactly what is included. You take as long as you need to decide.

03

Share your records

Once you are ready, I guide you through sending over your financial records. Whether that is bank statements, invoices, a spreadsheet or a shoebox of receipts, I will tell you exactly what I need and how to get it to me.

04

I take it from here

From that point I manage your accounts, keep your records current and file every return on time. You stay informed throughout and can message me any time with questions. You will hear back the same day.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

That depends on how much time you have and how confident you are with numbers and tax rules. Many small business owners start by doing it themselves and then realise the time cost and the risk of errors are not worth it. Having an accountant means deadlines are covered, allowances are claimed correctly and you have someone to call when something unexpected comes up.
No. Most people who contact me are not starting from a tidy position. I can work with bank statements, receipts, spreadsheets or whatever you have. We catch up on anything outstanding first and then put a proper system in place going forward so it does not happen again.
From April 2026, sole traders and landlords with income over £50,000 must use recognised software and submit quarterly updates to HMRC under Making Tax Digital for Income Tax. These quarterly updates are not additional tax returns, but they do require digital record keeping. I handle all of this as part of my standard service so you do not need to think about it.
Sole trader packages start from £150 plus VAT per month, covering bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, annual accounts and your personal self assessment. Limited company packages start from £215 per month. Every quote is fixed and confirmed in writing before any work begins.
