Are your business records where they need to be?

Answer five quick questions and get a clear picture of where your bookkeeping stands and what to do next.

WHAT I DO

What I handle on your behalf

From recording daily transactions to bank reconciliation and VAT, I take the financial admin off your plate so you can focus on running your business.

01

Day-to-Day Bookkeeping

I record your income and expenses accurately and keep your books up to date throughout the year. You always know your current financial position without having to dig through receipts or spreadsheets. Everything is organised and ready when your accountant or HMRC needs it.

Ongoing monthly service
02

Bank Reconciliation

I match your bank statements against your records on a regular basis to catch errors, spot missing transactions, and keep everything accurate. This is how you avoid nasty surprises at year end. It also gives you a reliable picture of your actual cash position.

Included in all bookkeeping plans
03

VAT Returns

If you are VAT-registered, I prepare and submit your quarterly VAT returns to HMRC on your behalf. I will also advise you on the right VAT scheme for your business so you are not paying more than you need to. No missed deadlines, no penalties, no stress.

Quarterly submission handled for you
WHY IT WORKS

Why clients come back every year

Most clients stay because the service is personal, the price is fixed, and David picks up the phone.

You always deal with David directly

There are no junior staff, no handoffs, and no call centres at STZ Accounting. When you have a question, you speak to me. I have over 25 years of real business experience before qualifying as an accountant, so I understand the pressures you are actually facing.

Fixed prices, no hidden extras

You get a clear fixed price before any work starts. There are no hourly billing surprises at the end of the month. What I quote is what you pay, and that is a firm commitment on my part.

Same-day responses, every time

I respond the same day as standard. If something urgent comes up, you do not wait two days to hear back. Clients consistently mention this as one of the things they value most, because most firms simply do not do it.

GETTING STARTED

How it works

Getting your bookkeeping sorted is a straightforward four-step process, and I walk you through every part of it.

01

Book a free call

We have a short, no-obligation call where you tell me about your business, what your records currently look like, and what you need. I listen first and ask the right questions. There is no sales pressure and no commitment required.

02

Get a fixed price quote

After the call, I send you a clear fixed price for the work involved. You know exactly what you are paying before anything starts. If the price does not work for you, that is fine, no hard feelings.

03

I get your books in order

Once you are happy to go ahead, I take over the bookkeeping. Whether your records are tidy or a complete mess, I will work through them methodically and get everything accurate and up to date. I keep you informed throughout.

04

Ongoing support and clear reporting

Each month I keep your records current, flag anything you need to know about, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks. You always have a clear picture of your finances, and I am a message away if questions come up.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Common questions

It is never too late. Most new clients I work with have records that are months behind or never properly set up to begin with. I have seen it all, and there is no judgement here. The first step is a free call where we work out what needs doing and in what order.
UK bookkeeping typically ranges from around £120 to £500 per month depending on transaction volume and what is included. At STZ Accounting I give you a fixed price upfront based on your specific situation, so there are no surprises. My sole trader package starts from £150 plus VAT per month and includes bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, annual accounts, and self assessment.
I handle the setup and day-to-day running of your records. You do not need to become an expert in accounting software. If you already use something, I can work with it. If you are starting from scratch, I will advise on the right option for your situation.
HMRC requires self-employed individuals to keep business records for at least five years after the 31 January filing deadline for the relevant tax year. I make sure your records are properly maintained and organised so you are always compliant if HMRC ever asks to see them.
